WRITING-SAVING RS BUFFER DATA TO RS-5/9

When you are ready to save your edited Tone, Performance or Drum Kit data to RS-5/9 click

button located on editor windows or select "Write…" function from ‘Midi’ window menu.

Use yellow text box to rename, select new location to write and click on the ‘WRITE’ button.

RSEDIT allows you to write/save to RS selected sections or whole data at once - something not possible using buttons on the keyboard itself. To use this option click on "WRITE BUFFERS’ button to display Write Buffers window.

On the first look this may seen to be complicated but once you get familiar with the options it will save you a lots of time.

To select items to write mark corresponding check boxes. Unmarked items WILL NOT be save to the synthesizer.

PERFORMANCE DATA

Use yellow text box to rename Performance.

Select new location.

Mark Performance check box.

TONES DATA

Click on a Tone you like to rename (1)

Type new name in ‘Rename’ text box (2).

Select location from Tone bank list (3)

Notice that the tone number has changed (4).

Mark Tone check box.

DRUM KITS

Click on a Drum Kit you like to rename (1)

Type new name in ‘Rename’ text box (2).

Mark Drum Kit check box.

Since there are only two USER Drum Kits in USER Drum bank, the Drum Kits will be written

accordingly.

When you are finished arranging writing buffers click on ‘WRITE’ button.

Sending data to RS-5/9 may take a moment - do not turn the Power Off during writing!
