The K2088-61 SoundEditor is a full-featured Editor/Librarian and sound development
tool designed for the Kurzweil K2088-61 keyboards. The K2088-61 SoundEditor greatly
expands the editing experience by displaying the K2088-61’s numerous Program and
Multi settings in a series of easy-to-use graphical interfaces. You can create, edit,
organize and store K2088-61 Programs, Multi, and FX Chains, and transmit/receive
single objects or entire banks between the editor and keyboard through a standard
MIDI connection (DIN or USB).
The Kurzweil K2061 and K2088
The K2088-61 Controller App is designed to aid you in song writing, rehearsal, and
during live performance. Use the Mixer page to quickly access Programs on 16 channels,
or use the large Favorites page to assign and select Programs and Multi (especially
useful with touch-screen devices). The simplified Program editor can be used to adjust
all Virtual Parameters as well as basic Program settings. Use the in depth Multi
Editor to edit all Multi Controller settings, Arpeggiator settings, and Multi FX
settings, or access Zone copy/paste/import functions and the Zone Mix page.
K2088-61 PlugSE - VST, VST3 and Audio Unit Plug-ins
The K2088-61 PlugSE plug-in (in VST and AudioUnits format) can be used in your recording
software to automate all Virtual Parameters assigned in your K2088-61 Programs. This
makes controlling K2088-61 parameters as simple as automating any Virtual Instrument
plug-in, easily synchronized with the playback of your session across the K2088-61’s
16 channels. This allows you to achieve perfect control for songwriting and recording,
or even use automation during live performance.
The PlugSE™ works with any Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) or audio software (like
Cubase, Ableton Live, Logic, Nuendo, Digital Performer and many others) that supports
VST or AudioUnits (AU) plug-ins.
Its most important ability is to automate every function of the hardware synth for
synchronized playback with your session. Adjusting the timing and the values of all
automation data allows you to perfect the performance prior to committing the audio
to disk or to use the automation during your live performance.
The K2088-61 Editor for iPad features the same set of functions like the K2088-61
Controller App. The app connects directly via USB/MIDI connection with USB C hub
or Apple iPad Camera Adapter. Wireless connection possible using MIDI network.
