MIX MODE SELECTION
To change QS Mode from PROGRAM to MIX mode click on Mode Button:

Selection of MIXES for editing is done in the same way as Selecting PROGRAMS in Program mode: By clicking on Bank Tab and name of the Mix you want to display:

Here, I selected Zen Piano from Preset 1 Bank. You may notice that QS in Mix mode is little bit slower to send data. This is because each time you selecting MIX, QS has to load 16 programs to its 16 program buffers + MIX to mix buffer + FX to effect buffer.
Note: Whenever you select PROGRAM, MIX or EFFECT for playing or editing - select Program, Mix or Effect is placed by QS into buffer. In yet simpler words you always playing what is currently loaded into QS memory buffers not what is in QS banks. By switching through QS Programs you are actually "recalling" them. Editing is also done in memory buffers and if you change some parameters and then switch to other Program or Mix without "WRITING", all changes will be lost!
QSEDITPRO displays QS Mixes on Mix panel above bank Tabs. This panel shows all Mix parameters in columns.

Mixes In QS can be used in
three different ways depending for your application:
To play combination of 1 to 16 programs in the same time on the same channel
To
play different programs on different channels (1 to 16)
With
MIDI GROUP CHANNEL disabled, program in Mix channel 1 will be played on midi
channel 1, program in Mix channel 2 will be played on midi channel 2 and etc.
Combination
of above
You can setup few programs to be played on MIDI GROUP CHANNEL and the rest on corresponding midi channels.
Important:
QSR’s Midi Group Setting is referred as QS6,7,8 and other QS keyboard's
ON/OFF setting.
AUDITIONING
IN MIX MODE
To audition different channels
in Mix mode using external keyboard you have to select keyboard’s transmitting
channel to either MIDI GROUP CHANNEL if “MG” setting is enabled or
corresponding Mix channel if “MG” setting is disabled.
If you using Computer Keys or Mouse Piano you can change midi channel to correspond with Mix channel using 1-16 channel buttons on Mouse Piano Window.
